It was just a regular work day for me. At the time I was living in Kent, WA and working in Tukwila, WA. I was listening to the news as I was getting ready for work and heard that passenger plane just ran into a building in New York. I was thinking oh my God but went on my regular schedule, I got to work in Tukwila about 650am and everyone was gathered around the tv in our lunchroom looking with pure disbelief on their faces and not saying a word by that time a second building had been hit. I can remember there being a 7-11 convenient store across the street from where I worked and several others in Tukwila that closed up on a minutes notice. Lord the aftermath........Everyone on my job was praying. That was all we could do.
Then it was revealed that Tower 1 was collapsing. I put my hand over my mouth and just stood there. I couldn't move. After the 2nd tower collapsed, I remember foolishly thinking/convincing myself that those in Tower 2 had time to get out...
