America at war
I was in Mr. Louis' Auto mechanics class at Lanier County High School. We watched the second plane hit live on TV. My cousin Margery was interning through Vanderbilt and we did not know she was alive for days. I tried to sign up with the army soon afterwards but asthma and medications prevented it. I have always regretted that failure of duty.
As I began to take a sip from my glass of water, I counted my blessings. Never take anything in this life for granted, not even something as simple and as pure as the water you drink. You never know when you won't have that luxury ever again.
