Waking up early
I was in Texas, visiting my brother at Fort Bliss Army Base, I decided to spend a week with him at the base, 3 days before I was scheduled to go home in had everything packed up went to bed at 4am Texas time, but then I suddenly woke at 6am 2 hours after waking up and couldn't go back to sleep soon got up turned the tv on and at first I thought I was watching a movie but the the reporter said this is happening live right now and then my heart just sunk and then at 6:03:00 am is when I saw the 2nd plane hit I cried all day and couldn't get home for about a week after that, I will never forget this day because I had a friend die when the first tower fell, one of my mom's friend and my friend is a stewardess and was scheduled to be on the plane that hit the 1st tower and she called in sick that day, she always says thank god she called in sick but was always sad that her friends on the plane got killed.
As America confronts these tragic circumstances, it is imperative that the situation is not compounded by expressions of religious or ethnic intolerance. The greatness of our nation rests on the exceptional diversity of religions, nationalities, and ethnic backgrounds which characterize its people.
