America Woke Up
It was September 11th 2001 I was I think 15 At the time it was a regular work/school day, and not that it was different than any other day but I think maybe it was just along with some other people realized that it was quiet like quieter than normal I carried it with me but didn't want to say anything so, after first period math I I think it was second period I was in English class reading going over out assignment and halfway through the period and suddenly we hear our principal come on the loudspeaker, and I was sitting up front he says a plane crashed into one of the twin towers. And at we just sat silent we didn't know we didn't understand what was going through my mind was no no this is a dream a plane did not go into the twin tower. A few minutes later we hear again now more certain a,second plane went into the second tower. Now we knew that we as a nation anfand our way of life was under attack. And so with this frightening notion the entire school ran to the auditorium and there they were plain as day the twin towers burning and smoking. Afterwards we went on about and there it was again as I got home on the news. I saw people covered in soot very white and gray soot and rubble from the collapse. It made me feel scared and confused and sorry for all those people and the ones they've lost in either during the plane crash or suffocation from the fire and smoke or the collapse I wanted to help them already this Monday it'll be 16 years later but we're bigger more powerful than ever before thanks to Donald trump along with all the fireman policeman and Emergency services
As I began to take a sip from my glass of water, I counted my blessings. Never take anything in this life for granted, not even something as simple and as pure as the water you drink. You never know when you won't have that luxury ever again.
