I was living near Dayton, Ohio at the time of the attacks and was in the 3rd grade. The day seemed to be a normal one, until i got to go home early. i didnt know why i was being released early, but i was happy. Then i had a silent ride home, and my mom was crying. When i got to my house my tv was on and my grandma and mom went over to watch it. i remember vividly how they kept replaying the attacks and showing the plane crashing into the building, and how much smoke and fire were pouring out. I asked my mom what was happening and she said we were under attack. I remember my sorrow i felt for those buildings, but when i learned there were people trapped inside, my young heart broke. And forever since, i have not and will not forget the terrors of 9/11/2001.
