While I was teaching in Price, Utah one day I heard the intercom come on saying the World Trade Center had been attacked. The class I was teaching had no idea what was going on though because they were only 1st graders. As soon as I heard I was in total shock because I was there just one week before, but I still managed to call my brother and see if he knew if his wife, Atalisa, was ok because at that time she had been living in New York. In a stern voice he said she was ok. After school I came home and spent the rest of that day watching the news. My life didn’t change on a daily basis, and my view on Muslims didn’t change much either because they all aren’t killers like that. Many bad things happened that day, but that day our country came together and we boosted security so that it would never happen again.
