It was 6 or maybe 7am the morning of the 9/11, and i was still in bed but my mate Al came in and said America was under attack, and i thought “oh yeah, right,” it was just the way he said it, he didnt say it with any feeling or emotions for me to get out of bed and see what was happening on the news.
Later i got up to see that smoke was coming from the twin towers, and i said “what happened”? he said he told me, so the next thing that happened before my eyes was that people were jumping off the towers because of the fires.
I have never seen anything like this before on TV, next thing one of the towers collapsed.
I nearly fainted, and then the other tower collapsed. I sat down and cried.
As an Indigenous Australian, i would like to express my deepest sympathies to the families and friends and to the
firefighters, police and other service workers that perished in this disaster.
Later on i saw where there were lights beaming into the skies on the site of the trade centre. I wished those lights were still there today.
If i get the opportunity to come to the USA, then I will come to New York and lay some flowers for the victims of 9/11.
Thank you for letting me share my feelings
