I had just gotten out of class at UNC-greensboro, I was in the post office picking up my mail. This girl was crying and I asked her what was wrong, and she said oh, you havent heard?? A plane has crashed into the twin towers In NY and it I have family there. I was shocked, I didnt know what to believe so I went up to my dorm room and turned on the news and sure enough they had news footage of everything. I immediately called my mom and dad and fiance to make sure that they were ok. I guess that is just a normal reaction for me, when something happens anywhere in the world. After that, I heard one of the girls on my hall scream, and I immediately ran to her. She had gotten a call that said her dad was killed in this crash. She was devistated. Our entire hall made signs and put them on the elevators and doors all over the dorm, saying that we were on the 8th floor praying for our country if anyone felt like they needed to come and pray. It was the most touching thing I was ever involved in. Then our school had a candle light vigil for all the ones who had died on 9-11.
That day is definitely one i will remember forever!!
