The moment of the 9/11 attacks, I was in my 10th grade history class in Greater Boston. All classroom lessons were halted for the entire day. Every classroom put on the live news sans the day’s schoolwork. The entire High School was silent for the first time ever. You could hear a pin drop in the hallway. Some friends, other students and school employees’ relatives were stuck in the towers. It was very emotional, for everyone. Those immediately effected by the attacks were sent home. School was closed the following day.
