I was in my second year of college. I was sleeping in my dorm room, and my boyfriend called me telling me to turn on the TV. I was mad because he woke me up, and I said “No.” He then told me that there was an explosion and to turn on the TV. I hung up the phone and saw the towers burning. I didn’t get it at first, and I kept changing the channels, and they were all showing the towers burning. I called my boyfriend again, and he was meeting with a military recruiter who had to leave when the attack happened.
I went to my girlfriend’s dorm room and told her what happened. She didn’t care. I then went to get ready for school. When I got to the dorm lobby, there were tons of students around the TV. Nobody was saying a word. I then went to my econ class, and there were tvs on everywhere. the teacher got upset and turned them off. i then went to my accounting class, and hardly anybody was there. the teachers did not mention the attack.
when i went back to my dorm, a girl named kat told me to go with her to get gas in her car, because we were going to war, and there would be no gas. i did, and the gas station lines were so long. i remember sitting in the stairwell at my dorm building calling my mom. i said i was scared we were going to war. i then went to a candle light ceremony at the student center. people were crying.
