My clock radio awakened me to a news story — something about planes and the World Trade Center. Then the host said something that sent a chill through me … he was questioning an on-scene reporter and said, “You mean the Towers are GONE?” By that point I was wide awake. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I called my Dad and all he could say was, “It’s a crazy world we’re living in son.” I called my boss who was at a conference in Hawaii. It was very early in the morning Hawaii time. My call woke him up. I told him to turn on his television immediately. An hour or so later I drove into work. I looked at the other drivers, many of whom looked dazed. Listening to their radios, obviously, their mouths hanging open in what looked to be shock.
