I was only about two years old on this tragic day in September. My mother didn’t even know she was pregnant with my little brother, she wouldn’t find out for another two months. I hardly remember the day, but I do know my mother dropped me off at daycare that day. At that time, we were also staying with my uncle. To her, it seemed like a normal day. But like everyone in America on that day, her life would change forever. Like I said before, I hardly remember it. But I do remember a small detail, my mother snuggled me. She held me tight that night as if she was never going to let me go. It wouldn’t be until later years that I would find out what happened on that September day. To this day, I still feel grief. Rest in peace to the innocent men and women, and government officials trying to help everyone out. You live in our hearts forever.
