I had only turned 6 years old 2 months before it happened, so I really don’t remember very much. I’m now 20. But here’s what I DO remember:

I was getting ready for school, my mom was getting ready for work as she was working the midnight s shift at the factory she was working on. Everybody was kinda doing their own things, getting ready for the day. My parents had a small tv in their room, that my mom often had on while she got ready. I remember, I was eating breakfast, and all of a sudden I heard my mom yell “OHMYGOD!!!” I ran to the bedroom to see what happened, but she wouldn’t let me in the room because she didn’t want me to see since I was little. But my dad turned on the tv we had in the living room, and I remember seeing 2 big buildings on fire. Then I remember them falling. Of course, being so young, I had no idea what was actually happening, how bad it was or anything like that, but I knew something different was going on. Then, I remember seeing parts of stuff, lots of smoke, everything very dark, the chunks of the buildings that were barely standing, and lots of, what I thought was dust. I asked my dad what happened, and he explains to me that two very big buildings fell down. And when I asked (being 6 years old, and that’s the age when kids ask a ton of questions), he simply said “cuz some very bad people attacked it.” I had no idea what that meant, but I knew it was best to just leave it at that.
I’ve seen a lot of videos, watched a lot of tv specials about it, and read a lot of articles about it, so I know a lot (well kinda) about it from those, but I don’t remember much from the actual day. But despite my age, I do have some memories. And I’ll never forget how scary that day was. God Bless. <333
