Hi! amazing site! Just wanted to put some thoughts in it, because 911 was the most impressive day of my life. 911 is my wedding anniversary and it won’t get erased from my mind ever!!
I was in my office in Puerto Rico that date, our Head Manager was on his way to Puerto Rico from New York, he departed about at 8 AM and our HR Manager and Assistant were in NY in our offices in 120 Pk Ave. When our Sales Manager heard the news, he switched the TV conference ON and called everybody in the office, everybody just was amazed about an “accident”… 2 or 3 minutes after we see the other plane smashing into the other tower.. everybody screamed MY GOD!!!! WHAT IS THIS???? The only thing that you could hear in that conference room was the TV.. I think that everybody stopped breathing because not even a little bit of air came out of our bodies. Suddenly when we noticed that we were awake, we started calling New York .. to check in what flight our boss was in… and to try to get in touch with our other two co-workers in NY. Thanks to God, our Head Mgr was in an earlier flight and was still in the air.. our other two co-workers were in the hotel. Two of our other managers rushed to the airport, it was a mess!!
The airport was FULL .. the traffic was stopped.. one of them had to get in a Taxi and reach the front of the aiport.. because they were only permiting official vehicles and taxis in the premises. Our Head Mgr. found out the news when he got here… the Captain in the airplane said that they had to land as soon as possible but they did not give them any details. When I got home I found out that my brother in law was in floor 68 of the second impacted tower.. I did not know he worked there.. he just started a couple months before the tragedy.. he got out of the building safely and walked home 4 hours.
After 911 I have an enourmous fear.. I can’t stop thinking of another attack by these monsters. I just want to send a message to every single human being that lost a loved one in this horrible day.. I pray for you always.. I have all of you in my heart.
