My dad has a really cool story about 9 -11. His carreer is youth devolopment . On 9-11 my dad was in Washington D.C. attending a national mentoring partner summit meeting. He was with the mentoring presidents from every state. He was in the middle of a meeting when he found out about it. He was shocked and it didn’t seem real to him. So they ended the meeting and they all went to there hotel rooms in the Holiday Inn watching CNN news. Later that day another plane crashed into the pentagon. My dad was really close to the pentagon and he could hear it when the plane hit. My dad didn’t know anyone who perrished in the 9-11 tragity. At the time we lived in Ogden Utah. So he had to get home somehow, and obviosly the airports where shut down. So he waited for five days and the airports still weren’t open so they had to get home the only way they could. My dad and a couple of the other people from Utah started to drive back. From Washington D.C. to Utah is a really long drive. My dad did get home safely without getting hit by a plane. He says that his view of muslims has not changed. Some good that he saw that came from 9-11 was every one helping eachother. After the pentagon was crashed into my dad tried to go get a look but the closest he could get was in the parking-lot of a mall. He said it was amazing to see how people where helping eachother , every one was giving blood comforting eachother and things like that. That is my dads story of 9-11.
