When President Kennedy was shot, I was in High School. The news came over the P.A. and I don’t know why but I walked out of class and rang the fire bell.
That was one moment never to be forgotten.The entire country cried.

9-11-2001, I was in Catania, Sicily, flying support for operation Enduring Freedom. One local called out “Hey, Americans, airplane hit tower” I had no clue. Being a pilot, I thought an airplane hit a control tower somewhere.
The news spread quickly. Lionel Ritchie was in town andd our crew were thinking about going to his show.
