That’s just how my September 11th, 2001 started. Getting up, going to work and making a stop by the ATM to deposit a check. Then as I was waiting in line, during a local radio morning show, they broke in with the breaking news that a commuter plane had crashed into the World Trade towers. With the casual way that this was mentioned, seemed like an accident and I started to wonder how the NY firefighters would fight the fire in a building so high over the city? After that, I stopped off at a convenience store to get amenities for the day. As I paid for my snacks, I made the casual talk about the plane crashing into the Twin Towers in New York City. It was at that moment the clerk advised me of the second plane crashing. I hurried to work where we dug out our black and white 13 inch television and watch everything unfold and descend into madness. It was one of the most frightening, most dreadful days in my life.
