My story is most likely the same as millions of other Americans. I too watched the first strike before going to work; I too didn’t leave the house after the second strike only to be horrified by two more; I too questioned these people, their tactics, God, love, and existence; and I too distrusted any Americans of Middle Eastern descent; and I too asked myself what I could do to help the healing process.
I played a benefit concert with a local Pittsburgh band and together we helped raise over $2,000 for the victim’s families. My real contribution did not come until a couple of months later. I, with the help of my band, put together a beautiful song written from the fallen rescue workers perspective. We have posted it online for everyone to share. There is no cost to download this song so please share it with anyone you like.
