On that tragic and sad moment in everyones lives i was living at my in laws. I was 25 years old. My wife had just left to work as i was getting ready for work. I turned on the tv as the first tower was just struck and moments later saw the second plane hit the other tower. I called my wife and let her know about what was going on. She already knew and her entire management crew was in their conference room watching it on tv. At the time i was working as a waiter at a restaurant by the beach. That afternoon we had several guests at who were from New York and the Washinton area. Everyone was glued to the tvs as the watched family members with photos looking for their loved ones. Mothers looking for sons and daughters, siblings looking for their loved ones. Most of our guest were trying to get in touch with loved ones at home. Many not wanting to eat during their visit at our restaurant. No drinks were charged and appetizers were on the house for those wanting to eat. After work as i always did i would rush to the University of Texas at Brownsville. No one was focused in class as well as the teachers. Driving home i heard on the radio all the senate, congressmen coming together and sing God bless America. Very touching moment of everyone coming together no matter what differences. We had for a moment one government with the same goal. God Bless America.
