I was sitting watching good morning america and talking on line to my friend who lives 20 miles from where the towers stood, she was watching good morning america too. when the first plane hit we thought it was an accident. by the time the second plane hit and the plane hit the pentagon we knew it was no accident. my friend was very frightened. she was home alone, her daughters were at the local college down the road and her husband works at a post office. my friend could see the smoke from her house. she didn’t know if her neighborhood was the next to be attacked. the days following the attack every time my friend went outside her front door they could smell burning bodies. i went up to see my friend in march and went to manhatten, sadly after 5 months i still saw ashes falling from ground zero.
