I was a custodian at cleveland high school in cleveland tenn,when i first heard about the attack. i’ve gotten used to the kids that attended school at that time. i was fixing to call my wife and wish her a happy birthday,little did i know that was not meant to be.a young student that i had gotten to be friends with came up to me yelling america is at war .i thought he was kidding,imean america surely not,then he told me that the twin towers had been attacked,and that another plane had went down on it’s way to the white house.i went around asking several people about it and they confirmed what the student had said, then the princaple came over the intercom and told the students.my heart justed dropped i could’nt catch my breath, i called my wife and told her the phone went dead, i called to her”honey,honey you still there”then i heard her crying. i think that memory will be etched in my mind and spirt forever.
