My children were watching Nickelodeon so we did not have the tv on a news station. I had a 7 year old boy, a 5 year old daughter, and a 5 month old daughter. I walked them to school and one of the other moms told me what had happened. I was astonished and just couldn’t believe it. I was already grieving because my uncle died the day before. I just couldn’t get over what I was seeing on tv. I had been on the top of the World Trade Center when I was 15, so it felt like an attack on me personally. I think I watched the news coverage all day long for about 3 weeks straight until I realized it wasn’t healthy for me. I still watch coverage every year near September 11th and I grieve for those that lost their lives. I am still impressed by those that put their lives in harms way, the police and the firefighters especially. But the ones I really look up to are the ones on Flight 93. They knew they were going to die, but they decided to not let any one die on the ground. They are my hero’s!
