This website was built in December 2001 after the events of September 11th, 2001, by two private individuals wishing to grow something good out of a terrible situation. Since December 2001, the website has been refaced and remodeled a few times, but the release verbiage you agree to when you submit a story has been the same, and that is:
“I certify that the story I am adding here is true and is my own, and WhereWereYouOn911.com has my permission to publish my story with appropriate credit; online, in print, or in any other media.”
No content from this website may be published in any form; online, in print or in any other media, without the written consent of the creators of this website. The only exception to this is for your own story; your story is always yours, we simply retain the perpetual right to publish or republish it as per the above terms of your agreement upon submission.
This website is not affiliated with any official organization, political campaign or political action committee.
This website is free to read and to post stories to, and usage of it indemnifies and holds harmless its creators against any liability, losses or claims from your use or misuse of it.
